Had some car trouble going to work this morning. I was stopped at the light at Baldwin Road and Hwy 77 and noticed smoke coming out from under my hood on the drivers side. Then, it started coming out on the other side. I was in the middle of all the traffic, so I couldn't pull off the road until I got to Target. I pulled into the Target parking lot, shut off the car and lifted the hood. Didn't see smoke and couldn't tell where it was coming from. I had water in the jug looking thing, so I knew there was water in the radiator. The guage didn't show that it was hot, so I got in and headed to work. Got to 15th Street and had to stop at the light again. Again, smoke was coming out on both sides. I drove the few blocks to work, left the car running and popped the hood again. Still didn't see anything. I was stumped. I went on in the office and about two hours later walked out to see if there were any puddles under the car. Nope. I don't have a clue.
Still no orders from ARMS today. Just hope they don't dump a bunch on me tomorrow. It's timesheet close-out and I just won't have much time. We'll just have to wait and see. I asked my boss if I could take off Monday since Vance is off for Columbus Day. He said it was okay. I haven't taken my birthday yet, so that's what I'll use.
Picked up Daddy for lunch. We went to Western Steer cause it's easy to get our food, eat and get out quickly. He needed groceries, so I stopped at Winn-Dixie and picked them up before carrying him home. We decided we would go to PoFolks next week for a change. That means I'll have to get his groceries before Thursday. It takes a lot longer to get your food at PoFolks. As it was, I had to show 30 minutes of vacation today. I'm glad we're allowed to take such small amounts of time for vacation. I've taken 15 minutes before.
Trent called and asked if I would take him to the fair. Chad and Tabitha don't have the money, so he wanted to know if I could take him. I told him I would, then I called back and asked Tabitha "If I give you enough money for all of you to go, will you go?" She said they would love to go. I really wasn't looking forward to it. Watching all those rides go in circles is not a good thing when you get dizzy easy. I could have gotten some great pictures, but I just didn't want to go. I was real tired all day and didn't feel like walking around all night. As soon as I got off work, I headed to their house to give them the money. I knew Chad and Tabitha enjoyed the fair and Hope has never been. I gave them enough to be able to get snacks and drinks, too, if they wanted it. Then I came home and told Vance about my car. He checked it out and found that I had a hose that was leaking. He replaced it and said it should be okay.
He cooked bacon tonight and the smell just about made me sick. I had to stay in my computer room so I couldn't smell it. The smell of bacon has thrown me into one of those attacks before, so I did some serious praying that it wouldn't happen tonight. I went to bed about 8:30 and immediately fell asleep, but Vinnie woke me up around 9:45 to go outside. I realized I was hungry, so I made me some pancakes. Now, I'm wide awake.
Tried to watch the Ken Clement broadcast on the computer, but their server was not working properly and I couldn't get it.
Guess I'll play solitaire until I get sleepy. Good night and God bless....................
